‘Casino met topkwaliteitsuitstraling’
LISSE – De Nachtegaal wil een casino van topkwaliteit realiseren. Dit casino moet een aanvulling zijn op de huidige recreatiefaciliteiten, waarbij de scooter- en brommerjeugd niet tot de doelgroep behoort. Dit laat manager Addie Wormgoor weten, naar aanleiding van de gemeentelijke mededeling dat De Nachtegaal een ‘speelautomatenhal’ wil opzetten.
Wormgoor gruwt van deze term. ‘Hoewel het woord feitelijk correct is, dekt de vlag absoluut niet de lading. Wij willen onze gasten (leisure en zakelijk) een extra stukje ontspanning en spanning brengen, bijvoorbeeld na een gezellig 3-gangendiner in ons restaurant, om een avondje uit compleet te maken. Het casino is bedoeld voor Lissers en bezoekers die elektronisch willen blackjacken, pokeren of roulette spelen in een casino sfeer.’

Met betrekking tot de Polen in het naastgelegen motel heeft De Nachtegaal reeds afspraken gemaakt met de beheerder van het motel. ‘Het casino wordt zeker geen aantrekkende kracht van geweld en overlast van brommers en jeugd’, weet Wormgoor omdat ook reeds met ervaringsdeskundigen van de politie is gesproken. Zodra de gemeenteraad de komst van een casino in Lisse goedkeurt, zal De Nachtegaal de plannen voor goedkeuring indienen. De bedoeling is waarschijnlijk dat het casino in eerste opzet minimaal zo'n 500 m2 zal beslaan, met minimaal 80 apparaten.
